It's a bit of a mystery exactly why this Cocktail Construction Chart was made but we're glad that it was.Ā In October of 1974, Cleve "Red" Ketcham working for the U.S. Forest Service, drew this ode to the cocktail possibly as a joke for his coworkers.Ā Somehow it got mixed into some other official documents and it passed through into the National Archives where it was found recently.Ā The original chart was drawn in white paper with black text but we gave a bit more color and turned the background blue and the text white.
